Executive Team

Sonia Booker – Chief Executive Officer

Mrs. Booker founded the Manager to propel her passion for and success in real estate. As Chief Executive Officer – Mrs. Booker is responsible for all aspects of real estate management development and dispositioning. Mrs. Booker is also the co-founder of Intown Condos & Lofts of Atlanta, Georgia, with the largest minority developer in the southeast. She conceptualized this company which converted apartments to condominiums, managed the construction of the renovation process, and oversaw property management during the holding phases. Through Intown, she successfully sold over $30 million in real estate over a two-year period with a small sales and support team. Mrs. Booker currently manages over $50 million in real estate assets including condominiums, apartment buildings and hotels.

Mrs. Booker knows firsthand about building a real estate portfolio and maintains her own income producing portfolio comprised of single and multi-family holdings. She began her professional career briefly at J.C. Penney before moving to Atlanta where she built and sold her first company. Mrs. Booker also has an understanding of tax credit programs and has worked on several developer based initiatives in Atlanta. Mrs. Booker has written a book, Real Estate & Wealth: Investing in the American Dream, and received awards for her leadership, community and church involvement. Mrs. Booker, a Jackson, Mississippi native, holds a B.S. Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a M.B.A. from the University of Dallas.

Joel Miller – Chief Investment Officer / Managing Principle

Is responsible for reviewing best financial structures, as well as negotiating terms related to transactions.  Mr. Miller visits and evaluates properties and interacts directly with the Funds investors Investment Committee presenting deals for final recommendations.

Having handled transactions in excess of $1B, Mr. Miller brings a high level of experience and expertise to the Fund having served as the CEO of Wall Street Capital a boutique mortgage banking company and now Wall Street Capital Advisors LLC. Mr. Miller has been structuring Real Estate transactions for the last 21 years.

Mr. Miller worked on Wall Street for a number of years prior to becoming the youngest mortgage banker in the U.S.  He has been published in various publications, served as adjunct professor of Economics at the Clayton State University School of Business, and has been called upon numerous times by international media such as CNBC for his insights on Real Estate and the economy.

Bernard AndersonFounding Partner / Chief Financial Officer.

Mr. Anderson provides money management services of Fund(s) cash flows and disbursements.  In addition, Bernard manages the Management Company and the Fund’s financial and banking relationships.  His experience consist of:

President, Anderson Financial Solutions – more than two decades of providing unique tax, investment and asset protection and planning strategies for medical professionals, business executives, athletes, entertainers and business owners.

Retired Military Finance and Procurement Officer – accomplishments in this position include managing the financial reporting system for the Army Depot Systems command with an operating budget of over $1 billion; Contracting Officer for the Department of Defense Recruiting Advertising Program where he evaluated and managed over 150 on-going projects; and Production Officer for the Patriot Missile System during the Persian Gulf War.

Investment Advisor – The Advisory Board

The Manager has formed an advisory board (the “Advisory Board”), which shall advise the Manager (not the Fund) as determined by the Manager from time to time. Before the Fund makes an investment, the Manager may seek advice from the Advisory Board with respect to such prospective investment, subject to policies and procedures established from time to time by the Manager. The Advisory Board will not have approval rights with respect to any prospective investment.

Ricky B. Novak

Currently serves as president of Strategic 1031 Exchange Advisors, an Atlanta, Georgia based consulting firm and qualified intermediary that provides real estate and tax consulting services for clients structuring real estate transactions, with a specialization in 1031 exchange structuring for real estate investors and developers. Mr. Novak speaks both locally and nationally on various 1031 related topics, and has served as a guest lecturer for numerous universities, colleges and law schools. Additionally, his writings have been published in a variety of periodicals, including Commercial Investment Real Estate (The Magazine of the CCIM Institute).

Recently, Mr. Novak was honored by his legal peers for his real estate and tax expertise by his selection as a 2009 Georgia Super Lawyer Rising Star, an honor bestowed upon only the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40 years old.

Mr. Novak graduated magna cum laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology, majoring in International Affairs with Certificates in International Business Management and Spanish. He received his J.D. from Emory University’s School of Law, with a concentration in tax, real estate, and international law.

Mr. Novak previously worked with Arthur Andersen’s Atlanta International Tax practice, where he assisted multinational clients with global tax strategy, corporate restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions. He later joined Deloitte & Touche’s Atlanta Real Estate Tax practice, where he furthered his tax expertise by structuring real estate transactions for major national and international real estate investors, including REITs, partnerships, and corporations. Mr. Novak is an active member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Board of Commercial Realtors, Real Estate Group of Atlanta, and the Rotary Club of Lanier-Forsyth. Additionally, he serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Bar Association Real Estate Section for 2009-2010, as well as the Board of Advisors for several Atlanta-based real estate developers and a member of various community and volunteer organizations.

Leon L. Haley Jr., MD, MHSA, FACEP, CPE

Is currently the Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy Senior Vice-President of Medical Affairs for the Grady Health System, one of the largest Public Hospital Systems in the country. Dr. Haley holds the additional titles of Chief of Service, Emergency Medicine and Vice-Chairman, Clinical Affairs for the Grady Health System, Medical Director of the Emergency Care Center at Grady Memorial Hospital, and Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Emory University and The Emory Clinic.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Haley received his undergraduate, medical and Master’s degrees from Brown University, University of Pittsburgh and University of Michigan, respectively. He completed his residency, including a year as Chief Resident, at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. Prior to his current positions, Dr. Haley was a Senior Staff Physician at the Henry Ford Health System. Dr. Haley is Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Dr. Haley serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine. He is a member of several national organizations including the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Haley has multiple honors and awards including Georgia Trend Magazine’s “40 Leaders

Under 40” and is an active member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Atlanta and Leadership Georgia Class of 2006. A former Executive Board Member and Chairman of The Atlanta Children’s Shelter, Dr. Haley also serves on the Community Advisory Board for the Junior League of Atlanta and supports Girls on the Run.
